Meals On Wheels In
Kaufman or Navarro County
Kaufman and Navarro counties depend on volunteers to deliver meals to over 600 clients daily. MOW has a group of volunteers in each community who give one hour and a gallon of gas each week. For some clients that receive MOW the volunteer who delivers their meals is the only contact that they might have. The MOW volunteers give much more than their time, and their gas. They give their heartfelt affection and kindness to the people in our communities that need it the most.

The KCSCSI volunteers donate a total of approximately 12,000 hours per year to our
clients annually in Kaufman and Navarro counties. Without the generosity and dedication
of these volunteers, over 600 people per day might be left hungry. The success of the
MOW program is wholely dependent on its numerous volunteers. Our volunteers tell us
that the most rewarding part of delivering meals is getting to know the MOW clients,
and being able to bring some cheer and concern to the homebound.
How to become a MOW Volunteer
Help is always needed to deliver meals to the homebound in your community. Our volunteers donate one hour per week, Monday through Friday throughout the year. Call one of the numbers below to volunteer in your community. Remember that if you can not be available one hour per week, but you still want to help, we can put your name on our list as an "On-Call" volunteer where we would only contact you to help out when a full time volunteer is unavailable.
